My first embroidery project!

I love this bag. I bought it at the H&M in Georgetown, Washington DC because I liked the design and the whole thing just yelled "blank canvas(!!!)" to me. Then I read some posts on this board and watched some videos at that stitch dictionary site, googled for an image to work from and... yes! Here it is!

Two shots:

Zoom -out- so you can see the prettiness of the bag...

Zoom -in- so you can see the actual design.

The rose picture was blown up and modified a bit from this little thing: http://www.white-works.com/rose8.jpg

Woo! First time posting a project on Craftster, too. What a rush. Haa.

How can we lose? We are so sincere.

Very very nice work.  I adore it.  I went to the H&M in NYC, it had only been open 2 weeks and omg...6 floors and packed with people.  It was insane.

Wow!!!!  Your embroidery is so neat!!!!  What a fabulous bag!!!!  (and since it looks like I'm now going to DC this summer instead of Chicago, I'm so stoked to know there's an H and M there!)

I love the H&M here in DC.  Better than the one in Tyson's Corner which is closer to my house.

very nice embroidery.

What a beautiful job! Makes me want to learn more embroidery stiches than just the chain stitch Wink

I actually saw that bag in pink at the H&M in Boston and loved it.. of course stupid me didn't buy it right away and it was GONE when i went back to get one! I was thinking of trying to sew one myself so thank goodness i have a picture to go by now... so inspiring!

I have that purse in a gorgeous lime green color, and I just adore it.

You really spruced it up well, though! Great work!
