Hey guys! Forgive me if this has been pitched before. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a Calvin and Hobbes swap? I feel like there's a lot of appreciative fans around here!

Anybody?

Oh Craftsters once again you have read my mind! I just made a C&H shrinky dink keychain today for no reason other than they are awesome (it just came out of the oven as a matter of fact). I will have to see how the timing works out for me but I am interested!

What time/month would work best for everybody? Any ideas? I have no problem organizing a small swap for everyone if I have an idea of when everyone would like to do it.

I have no idea what I could make... I keep seeing awesome Hobbes toys here on Craftster, but I can't sew or crochet.

O no!   Cry I just read the rules for being able to swap.  What are the chances this swap would not begin for a month?  I would love to participate but I don't meet regulations *sniffle*

You never know! Make sure that you have your minimum of 15 posts so that in a months time you are all ready to start swapping!

Not sure if I will be able to participate, but I LOVE the idea.  I jsut may have to squeeze it in if it happens.

Later in the summer would be better for me, but don't hold off on my account.

As it stands now, sign-ups are going to be from May 9th to the 15th. Will that work for everyone? Or would June be a better time?

I'm going to have to pass. I'm possibly going travelling for a month - so don't want to start any new swaps just in case. But i'll be stalking and thinking of new ideas for round 2!

I'm currently in 3 swaps. For 2 of those 3, I send in June. The other I send in May. I'm okay with a May sign-up, but if June will be better for others, so that the swap has more people, that would be cool, too. Regardless, I'm keeping a slot open for this swap. Smiley

Calvin and Hobbes?  Yeah, count me in too.  Especially if you're doing sign ups in June.   Grin

When my sweet baby, Joe, was widdle kid he loved Calvin and Hobbes.  Except he never said "Hobbes" he said it like this "Hoe-bess".  He was just learning to read and that's how he sounded it out. My baby just turned 26 and I still say "Hoe-bess" too!

Awesome! I'm happy to see so many people interested in this! I'm tentatively scheduling the sign-up date to go from June 13th-26th. Would that work for everyone?

And I'm thinking a five point swap. What are everyone's thoughts? And what kind of questions would you like on the questionnaire? Favourite quotes and comics?

I'm saving a slot!! I think 5 points would be great. I'm crossing my fingers that someone would want to make me a hobbes stuffie- sewn, crocheted, knitted, whatever. Smiley I can't wait! Regarding the questionaire, maybe finding out what sides of C&H you love- the crazy 8(?) year old boy silliness, the deep-beyond-their-years philisophical ramblings, the snowmonster creations, the alien invasions, the plots to get Suzy, mom and dad's exasperation... Smiley
