I'm so nervous that my "guy" isn't going to be as good as all the rest in the gallery.  These are AWESOME!!!
You're in good company!!! I'm glad you're my partner, then. Just hope you love yours. I never look at the gallery until after I send, because otherwise I get all second guessy and beat myself up. I love the guy I made, and hope you love him too....

okay, so this computer is working as it should do (why won't they work if you need them to)
And as I posted yesterday, I received too!! It came at the right moment...
The whole family is ill, I worked all day, and didn't get enough sleep...

Moawk made me a wonderfull monkey with a sportive theme. In Sweden a lot of people are in to orienteering. I am familiar with it, when I was a student I did it a few times. But in Sweden it 's more common. So my monkey is wearing an outfit to do so and caries around a compass and some sort of watch that registers whenever you found an orienteeringpoint of your map. I hope you still understand my story and please, Moawk, correct me if I misunderstood!
being adorable...

little details of the outfit

I found out that she crochets amigurumi, which interests me, so she made me this sweet little turtle

She also added a map of an orienteering she did, together with two little mushrooms...
And then between all the stuffing in the box, we found a nice crocheted mushroom. In Sweden people pick their own mushrooms in the forest, which they eat, of course (what else)

THANK YOU MOAWK, we (the whole family) fell in love with the monkey, the turtle and with the nice mushroom! You did a wonderfull job, we are into Geocaching (kind of orienteering with a GPS) and this was perfect!

The shaun of the dead one is awesome. I love how there are even liz's/mum's flowers included.

The orienteering one is adorable too. I love his little shoes and the color of the monkey.

Finally, time of...
Kids in bed, there's time for me to reply to all those monkeys!!!

The donkey looks great, but that freaky twist of the guts falling out. Hilarious!

Half man, half woman: how wonderful, ridiculous and funny!

Rainbow monkey: so cute. The skirt, leggings and buttons are a nice touch!

Shaun of the dead: I may be the only one, but I never heard of that. Thanks to wikipedia and googled images I now do know. It is scary the way the monkey looks like Simon Pegg! And all those attributes! So great.

I want a second round too!!! Although I can't imagine that being easy with all those rocking monkeys and critters in mind!

kwality570: relax, I felt that way too, I'm sure it will be just fine! Wink

Bobbiemay, you did a great job picking partners! I think Moawk was the perfect partner for me.
So thanks!!  Grin

I sent my monkey to Aneyhall today, and I was lucky: my monkey from Sofee came in the mail!! Yay!

She made me an Oscar Wilde monkey. Here he is, with the book I told Sofee I liked.

Doesn't he look distinguished? Cheesy

Around his neck he wears a necklace with (of course) the picture of Dorian Gray.

I really liked that Sofee made me a writer. It made me think: maybe I can design some Dutch writer-monkies Cheesy (I teach Dutch literature)

I'm up for round 2, how could I say no?

Guys, I've been looking at sock monkeys for sale online (I've been commisioned to make some, yay, and am checking price and what's available) and IMHO what we have in this gallery FAR exceeds what I've seen being marketted. Most of the socks out there are BUTT ugly and selling for around $50 (how do you screw up a sock monkey and who would pay that much money for such uncute ones?!). So again, nice work everyone. This gallery is rocking! We should all hook up and start a store. We'd make a killing, especially on all those fantastic outfits and extras!

Well, Bobbiemay, that's around the time I go on holiday... Tongue

So, feel free to do round two June/July, but then I'm not in then. What would be a pity though! Undecided

eh, I forgot to mention: love the Oscar Wilde monkey! Distinguished indeed!

Yup, summer's good for me!

The themes here are really interesting. Orienteering I've never heard of but how groovy is that? The outfit is so stellar.
And Oscar Wilde? Oh yah, my bibliophile auntie would dig that one. His wee little velvet and lace finery and necklace and that hair, whoo whee!
