Ok, so gonesmithing made a post that she had made a Storm Trooper hat a couple of weeks ago: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=336695.0

And I thought to myself...HOW COOL!  I HAVE TO MAKE ONE!  Cause I'm a huge Star Wars nerd and everything.  Seriously, I am.

So this is my attempt.  I didn't want to steal the thunder of her thread with pics of my hat, so I'm making my own thread.  Hope that's ok.

So here's my version of my Storm Trooper hat.  Just a few more details than gonesmithing's.  The mouth piece is slightly off kilter.  But never the less, I'm still proud.  It's my first attempt at crocheting a hat.  And my first attempt at switching colors while crocheting.  I'm extremely proud of it!  Smiley  So, here's some pics!

And yes, I have a lightsaber.  I told you I was a nerd!  XD

Thanks for looking!

Move along.  Cheesy (had to say it)

You did great at your first attempt at a hat. I HATE changing colors. Its such a PAIN... specially on something that will be stretched like a hat... Good job!

Embrace your nerdiness. I did. My daughter's name is Leia, LOL! (I know, poor child) Cheesy

LOL!  Thanks!

Does she have a brother named Luke?  That would be fairly amusing!  Once I get paid on Friday, I'm off to buy grey yarn to make a lightsaber scarf.  Tomorrow at work, is dress as your favorite movie/cartoon character day.  I'm wearing my hoodie robe, and going as a Jedi.  Well...I've got the braid, so I guess a padawan technically.  Meh.  Technicalities.  Totally gonna take my lightsaber too.  I'm a nerd and proud!  Cheesy
