Okay, so yeah...I love cupcakes. I saw some cupcake dishcloths on ravelry and decided that I should do my own pattern. So I kinda just winged it. The cupcake cup is just a kk, pp (26 stitches) and then I joined in a yellow and 1 knit row and then seed stitch for an inch. I then did a ssk decrease. I did 2 rows of ss, then started the seed stitch again for one more inch. After that one inch, I started ssk decreasing at every edge till I had something like 6 or 8 stitches left, then I cast off. I crocheted a ruffle and a cherry, et VOILA! A cupcake dishcloth. It might be a little more fun doing the dishes now.

This is so cute! I wouldn't ever want to use it as a dish cloth though, it seems such a waste...

Thanks everyone!

And although it may seem a waste to wash dishes with it, it knits up in an hour or so, so I can easily make more...which I will definitely do because the world can never have enough cuteness!!

Great work! And very pretty!
Am making a print out of that as soon as possible. (It's too late right now - might wake someone up.)

Dos it stretch overly much when wet?

My crocheting cannot do a ruffle - and I don't think I can see it in your picture. So I'm good to go.

Hi! I don't think it would stretch much, as I used a size 4 needle, and I decided to cast on 30 with the next one. It made it a little bigger, just the right size! The next one I made had a big more of a ruffle, but either way, I think you're good! Be sure to post pics!

I am a bit more awake this morning - but still looking at your cupcake!

What do you mean by: "I did 2 rows of ss, then started the seed stitch again ..."
What is "ss" ?

Sorry! I was trying to rush through that! lol SS is stocking stitch. So two rows of stocking stitch then back to the see stitch. Although, you can just do seed stitch and omit the stocking stitch entirely, like I did in this unfinished one.
