My son turned 7 and had a Mario Kart Double Dash themed party.  I decided to make Chain Chomp (my favorite).  I had made a cake in bowls in an attempt to make it spherical but it all fell apart.  So I ended up making a giant cake ball (cake and frosting mixed together and formed into a ball a la Bakerella)  The chain, eyes and teeth are fondant, the rest butter cream.  Wanted to share.

Oh my god! I love it Smiley I don't usually hang out in these boards, but I saw it in tiny in the newest projects, and knew I had to drop by. I would totally like this for my birthday.

Thanks you guys  Cheesy

It is all edible, chain too, but I think I went a little heavy on the luster dust and the boys tried to eat the chain (they all thought that would be awesome) but none of them took more than a taste.  The eyes and teeth were all eaten though, so it must have been the luster dust and not the homemade fondant.

that is SO AWESOME! i LOVE chain chomp.

and, i have to say, i'll bet it tasted even better as a giant cake ball a la bakerella anyway (i've made the small ones for my mom and her friends, and they LOVE them).

nicely done! i'll bet your kid had a pretty rad birthday.  Shocked)
