So I've been trying to find tutorials everywhere because I'm useless with patterns and still consider myself a beginner at sewing Cheesy...

BUT, I'm due to have my first child on the 8th of August and last Tuesday I found out that I'm having a beautiful baby boy <3... As you can probably understand, I'M SUPER EXCITED

So I want to make him some lovely things Cheesy... He's also going to be very spoilt... He's the first grandchild for my mother and my fiance's mother, and the first male great grandchild for my Nan & Pop Cheesy... So very very spoilt Cheesy...

But here's what I've made him this weekend ^_^...

Kimono wrap top, using Habitual's pattern (which is amazing)

I made the kimono wrap shirt from some silky ribbon I had in my stash and some old pillow cases @_@...

Pirate pants, made from pirate fabric that I bought last April (on special) and some elastic I had in my stash

For a beginner I would say not bad Tongue... I look forward to posting more stuff Cheesy

I love the Habitual Kimono.  That was the first thing I made for my six month old when I found out she was a girl last year.  They are addictive!

I love those pants too.  He's going to be one very well dressed, lucky little guy.

i replied to your other post in the questions about kids clothing board and i just now stumbled on this one. your kimono looks great, i would have never thought to use ribbon as binding.  i would have done it the hard way and made enough binding out of some fabric lol.  i think ill try ribbon !
