Just some simple wrist warmers. I'm learning to crochet, but I don't like just making swatches of stuff that can't be used for anything later. So I looked around and found this super simple pattern:
http://www.crochetspot.com/crochet-pattern-beginners-wrist-warmers-with-ridges/
Got some yarn from the craft store and worked, worked, worked.
This is the end result:

best shot I could get of both by myself, with the camera timer:

(took about one ball of this yarn for each)
And, since I tend to work super tight (not just with crochet), these are free standing  Cheesy

(so they can double as pencil holders?)

I think I got some funny looks while taking these, it was 32C outside today (that's about 90F)

Anyway, this was a fun project, can't wait to start the next one, whatever it is.

Inspiration without application is moot.

Oh man, thank you!! I've been looking for AGES for a pattern for something like this! (I'm so new to crocheting it's ridiculous, haha). You've just made my day! Thank you. Cheesy

Thank you for the feedback everyone Smiley
rottenlittleboys - it is a great feeling to finish stuff. The day after I finished them I took them to the office to brag, and wore them most of the day.
Meli - glad I could help. If there is one thing I'm not a newbie in is finding things online, Google is a good friend of mine  Grin. One thing I found that helped me a lot so far is videos showing the really basic stuff.
