i love love love yarn. and i recently got into belly dancing.
i got some awesome peacock green yarn with a black thread accent, and i sat down to make a scarf.
two rows in, i realized that the yarn matched my new wrap top, and i decided to make a tribal-ish belt.

so far it is a silent belt, but i have some tiny brass bells i want to add for jingle factor.

before i added tassels

with tassels!

i actually took like 10 more photos and i'm in love with all of them, but i shall end here because you don't need to see half a billion more pics of my bed wearing the belt.

i was going to wear it tonight, but class got cancelled, so i'll see how it looks with shimmies and some hip work tommorrow.

living with an inferno doesn't mean it has to swallow you whole, you just have to know when to feed the flames.

This is really cool!  I've just started belly dancing, and have been thinking about crocheting a belt - are you able to share the pattern?  It would be great to see some shots of it in action too!  Grin
