Saw the Machais title and laughed a bit.  DH went to school there.  I imagine it's pretty in the summer, but there is not much to hold my attention in Washington county. (sorry I pick on DH the same way too.)  Cheesy

Ok, an older thread, but I just had to respond - I grew up about 10 minutes from Machias and still have family in the area (Whiting and Lubec). I visit about once a year and every time I go up there I am amazed - it was SO DEAD when I was there, but now I keep seeing these cute little cafes and funky artsy places everywhere. It's like things are getting more revitalized Smiley
