I'm sorry that I've taken so long to post these ATCs.  They arrived a bit ago.

Cayce's Star Trek.  I LOVE Voyager.

And Threadoryarn's Local Attraction.

(I used to live out that way once upon a time... wish I'd known this was there!)

I find joy in creating and helping others create not just jewelry and crafts but best of all, the life they want.

I would happily look at that flower all day, and smile every time, too!

Got my "Insects" card from Calluna today. Is this the last? If so, it was a great way to end off the month, as it's spectacularly wonderful. The title is "Insectarium".

What may not be apparent from the scan is that the "millipedes" are actually hand-spun yarn couched onto the card with black thread, which suggests legs. Luxurious texture. The background is an  interesting metallic copper/green.

calluna, what an awesome insect-themed ATC!  I love how you were able to use your hand spun yarn in the ATC Smiley

heheheh, that's the result of adding nothing to my craft stash and trying to get rid of a lot of it for 2 months...I've been getting rather resourceful!  Cheesy I started organizing my ATC imagery and papery bits by theme and collaging papers of the same theme onto paperboard cereal boxes, putting a wash of paint over them, cutting them apart into ATC size, and then doing something dimensional like embroidery (and relevant to the theme) as a focal point on each one. It takes some time to find and place all the collage elements for the base, but the whole process is really easy and I love how they turn out. And it's a method that lends itself to making series of cards. I think I got the idea from a tutorial OriginalYouth posted somewhere, or was otherwise inspired by her.  Smiley

I'm living/working in Yosemite Nat'l Park til further notice! Blogging about it here. No swapping for me, and minimal crafting time, for the coming months. Graduated from library school! That sums things up for now.

I think that I need to add child art as a theme! They are so lovely!
