Glad you enjoyed it ENGRbyDAY! I had "fun" learning to use velvet flocking..will have to keep practicing. I saw this picture a friend of mine had taken while in New York City:

....and always wanted to paint it. I'm not really a painter so that never happened...but when I saw your ATC request for a cityscape I knew just the thing : )

Glojo, that painting of cars is really beautiful. I'm beginning to see that's the great thing about ATCs - they're not paintings per se, so you can paint them even if, as you insist, you're "not really a painter"!

I received this great "lucky Irish" card from ENGRbyDAY today. She made it with stamps received on a swap package from EdelC in Ireland. I've had to hide it away from my partner Ian, who is a stamp collector and would have those birdies soaked off and into his album in an instant! The photo doesn't show that it's built up of lovely, thick rag paper that's very nice to handle.

Glad you like it Wulf! The paper I used is recycled paper that I made myself.

Wow! It's got a great texture. My paper-making experiments have never resulted in anything half as good as this. Do you make a lot of it?

I'm getting too anxious.  I'm going to post my picture of the card I sent her.  and she did get it.  I just heard from her. Wink

I chose Dia de los Muertos as my theme and I used the cover for Concrete Blonde's Mexican Moon (if you haven't heard the song, check out youtube.  it's amazing) and spiced it up with glitter.

pay no attention to the file name.  I mixed them up.  Roll Eyes

I've only made one batch so far. I've found it to be a huge time committment...if I'm going to make it I need to dedicate several hours to half a day to it rather than a couple of minutes here and there. Half days are quite rare for me. Plus I'm still working on tweaking the process, something's not quite working for me, just have to figure out what.
