Tee time! I just wish I had taken before pictures- but here are the finished tees! I also got to do a fashion show and use my reconned tees- as well as some swim wear pieces where I drafted my own designs and patterns! Photos through out. Enjoy~

This was an oversized men's grey tee shirt that was turned into a fitted tank with a nicer neck line and shaplier curves. The Hulk 'patch' was from a little boy's tee shirt that was too small to do anything else with but to save the picture on the front! Also experimented with some stenciling - the pretty white cross.

serged in some stretchy black lace down the sides and along the bottom to 'girl' it up

This one started out with two tees: a medium dark blue men's tee and a black men's tee with a pretty girl on it

cut, serged, and shaped the blue tee into a fitted tank with added strips down the sides under armpits. took the black tee with the girl on it and cut into blocks.

stitched the blocks in a stagger pattern across the front to the blue tank. Added a lace rose - and with some leftover thin strips from the black tee that are stretched out really hard to make the strings hanging from the rose

close up of the fabric inserted down the sides. Stitched it so the raw sides face out. Then took a wavy stitch on the sewing machine to 'tack' it open and give a ruffly look.

this was on the back of the original black shirt so I kept with the motiff

back

this was the tag from the original blue tee!

started out as a giant plain tee- here it's on the girliquin with the sleeves chopped off and shaped and pinned

Did the slash and weave on the back

pinned

made from my own design and pattern

the back of the checkered top- it's so hard to capture black fabric on a black girliquin!!

the blue and white top was made from scratch but the skort was a dollar from Goodwill that I reconned.

YEE HAW! I had some cow print scraps so I made a teeny weeny bikini! Smiley

Enjoy!

You have such cute details. I especially love the rouching you did in the front neckline area-that went  really far in feminizing too.  Great job!

So I had the opportunity last month to present my reconned tee shirts and my original swimwear pieces at a fashion show at the Scottsdale Art Walk! It was last minute and had four days to prepare for it, find models, whip out the swimwear pieces...but it all came together! Enjoy-

my beautiful models!

I especially love the one with the pretty girl on it, I love how you split it into different rectangles.  I will have to try this out sometime!

Everythings really cute. Could you maybe do a tute for the slash-and-weave dress? Or at least explain how you did it haha it looks so neat!

Here's how I learned:

This tut is very easy to follow and understand!! Good luck and post pics of your master pieces!
