I meant to comment on this the first time I saw it but didn't. This makes me happy just looking at it with that friendly kite face. I think you did a great job all around on this. I do like the fix with the ties on the tail, it does look better that way. Great design and stitiching here.

That is fantastic....so happy and pretty!  We do kite flys here all the time, I love them!

You could try spray starch to set it, if it dries and discolors you can just brush it off with a soft toothbrush!
