Awhile back I had designed my own small stuffed flamingo.  My sister saw it, and wanted one for her b-day.  Well, because we are packing and getting ready to move, I couldn't find my pattern.  So, I found another one I had bought from Maggie's Baggies.  I think she turned out pretty darn cute.  She is after all, "Pretty in Pink".  I don't know where, why, or how my sister got into flamingos, but, I hope she likes this one.  Enjoy her in all her pink glory!  E.

She'll definitely like it!! How could you not?? The feathers are really cool. Did you make them with felt?

My Dad would adore something like this. He has 10 plastic pink flamingos that he hides on the property. If you spot one you get a beer Smiley.

Yes, her feathers and her legs/feet are felt.  Her beak is also felt sewn on.  I embroidered her feathers.  The pink fabric came from a garage sale.  The lady was a quilter, and was selling off the fabric she couldn't use in her quilts.  She got her fabric from thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales, etc.  I'm all about using reclaimed items, etc.  Her eyes are glass beads.  Her necklace is both plastic beads and glass beads.  There is rice in her feet.  The felt also came from a garage sale.  That I got for free.  The lady bought all this stuff to make purses, then didn't make them.  When she found out I sewed, she gave me all the material for free!  It was a HUGE box!  I was so excited!  That's funny about your dad!  I'd play the game for a root beer!  I'd be willing to make another one, and either sell it, or trade for patterns.  E.
