The Comedian Plushie!

So, I am an absolutely Watchmen fanatic, and Edward Blake (The Comedian), is one of my favorite characters. He is such a horrible person, and I hate the things he has done, but I love him oh-so much! My mom, thankfully, shares my passion for both Watchmen and Eddie, due to my corruption of her. I was frantically trying to decide what to make her for Christmas, since everyone was getting a crocheted doll. She already had plenty of Ninjas and Zombies... and then it hit me!

A Little Comedian to watch over and protect her desk at work!

I modified the Basic Head and Body from 'Creepy Cute Crochet', by using a larger hook size for the head (I think I used a J hook, but I am not completely sure...), and two or three added rows of SC at the end of the body pattern to make him a bit taller. Then I just used felt and yarn to decorate him. It's hard to see, but the felt straps that go over his shoulder go all the way down to his belt.

I am thrilled with how he turned out, and my only regret is that I can't have him for myself! I will be soon making a Sally Jupiter to join him. And the rest of costumed heroes, eventually...

Thanks, you guys! It was a blast making him. I just got started on Sally Jupiter.
