So I took a beginning pottery offered through the leisure program at my university. This was my first time working with the wheel. These are some of the pieces that I got back. Next wednesday is when I pick up my last batch of pieces that I've glazed. I think I'll try to take another class if my schedule permits it because it's pretty relaxing. I'm not sure who I'm going to give some of the pieces to...I think in my mind my bunny Norman gets half of everything I make. haha

as you can see, it's a learning process for me. Some parts on my piece got burned...I think I used the wrong glaze..

generally round shape = success! I'll take my small victories when I can. haha

those are all very nice.  i like that color blue on some of them.  even if the burning on that one was a mistake, i think it still looks pretty neat.  before reading that it had burnt i thought that you'd gone for those spots of color on purpose.

Very good beginning.  I also like the burn on the pieces.  It's a little different than what we usually see.

Excellent first attempt, and great job on getting them all round (mine are rather lopsided I'm afraid). It is rather addictive though, isn't it? I'm about to book another course so I can do more! Wink

oh these are really well done - and first time too!!

i used to take pottery about 20 years ago...it was such fun....i had to drop it when we moved house and its not really something you can do alone at home without a huge investment...  i'm so glad i've recently discovered polymer clay!! Smiley
