Hello All!

I have to dress as a fairy for a parade and I was wondering if a lolita fairy would even be a good idea. I already own a white puffy sleeved top, red bell shaped skirt and petticoat. I think I would like to make a GIGANTIC bow as the wings and do some type of swirlies to make the bow appear more wing-like.

Any suggestions?

Thanks  Grin

I think that's an awesome idea!  You could whip stitch your bow to a metal framework to make it more structurally wing-like.  Red and white striped tights and some sparkly fairy makeup would complete it!

Thanks! I was thinking of using chicken wire to make the bow structurally sound, putting batting around the wire and sewing the fabric closed over that. Then making a harness so it doesn't kill my back while walking in the parade.
