I salvaged this table a long time ago and repainted it and added a chess set last summer thinking I would make a chess set somehow. After a couple tries and toying with some ideas, today I inspiration struck for a themed Super Mario Bros 3 Chess Set. 6 hours later and hand covered in permanent marker I finished it.

Is it hard to keep track of which piece is which type?  Might I suggest that if you take another go at making these you leave an extra bit onto the bottom of each piece, and make 32 bases in which to slot them so that they stand up.
