holy crap!  HO-LEE Kuh-RAP!  i can't believe all the work you did.  fantastic!

how did you attach the bike chain to the purse?

 Grin

Thanks!!

I used really thick O-rings (is that what ya call them?) to connect to the side of the tin.  By the time I bent them & unbent them & bent them again.. they were more like mishapen-triangular-almost-O-rings.  LOL.  But it worked...none the less.  I used a small finishing nail to tap two holes right next to each other in the side of the tin...and threaded the ring through, slipped the chain in & clamped it shut.

dang, girlie! those are awesome! above and beyond the "one tin" swap! I'm impressed.

i am totally hooked on the swap concept! thanks to my great partner for having this be a success for me!

Thanks!!  I was a little crazy, lol...  I felt like it was forever before sign-ups, and then forever before "open mailing" so my little head was busting with ideas... from Craftster and from my crazy ideas.  I was happy to let them out!  Ha!

My partner (Hawaiilove) is super awesome too... she mailed soooo quickly and we kept in contact the whole time... she's great & I am glad my very first swap went well.

I also feared I would have to purchase supplies.. wasn't sure how costs would be with a swap, but I ended up using all things at my house!!  I realized how much STUFF I have in my craft room, that hasn't been used in a while. I probably should thank my Grandmother...when she passed away, I inherited her craft room supplies Cheesy  There is nothing like a grandparent's generation-craft room full of supplies... they are THE BEST.

Ok, here's what I sent graciepetunia. I found on her blog "20 things about me" and was inspired by #6 which was "I secretly long to be a 50's housewife."

How awesome is that!  Blogs are so great to pull info from! ...heh.. this reminds me of something from http://www.postsecret.blogspot.com/

LOL!  My boyfriend & I did the same thing the first time we went there... now we read it every once & a while to see the new ones that get posted.  He gets thousands more, but obviously only posts the more "intense" cards.. ha.  I would send one like... "I spontaneously spent $100 on the Roomba"  and it would never get posted... LOL...

You guys are great!!  But now I feel super-awful about what I sent ithnkuno.  She sent me an awesome polymer clay tin AND a necklace.  I totally love it!!

ithnkuno- I work in papercrafts so I wanted the tins to reflect that.  I hope you don't feel like I cheated you!   Smiley
