This is a quilt/wall hanging that I made for my partner(AlwayInspired) in the IYP.... She just re-did her craftroom in these colors.......wasnt really sure where I was going with this when I started.  I would do some and then kinda play with it or put it aside till I had another idea..... deciding on the black was kinda hard.... at first I had white with it, and it looked really little kidish..... I tried brown, grey, cream..yeah, a little bit of everything... black was the last (i thought maybe it would look Halloweenish)....but I really like it.....Ive never used black as a main color in a quilt before.......

close ups .....

three squares to show the colors, some of the other pictures didnt come out to well

I was really happy with the way the owl came out.....The way the purple fabric looks around they eyes and the little orange flowers for the middle......everyth ing came together real nice.

thanks for looking.... Cheesy

Oh, I bet she's going to love it. I think black always makes a quilt look more sophisticated, so good choice there. The owl is so cute; great applique!
