I made this make up bag for my older sister.  Shes a huge Brewers fan and bought me this Tshirt for family game night.  She mentioned how much she liked the design but ended up getting a different Tee for herself. 

Soo, come christmas time I decided to return the favor (the shirt shrunk a little anyway...or maybe I grew...) and repurposed it into this bag.  I used carebears cotton for the lining - a little throw back to the days of growing up together!

Here's a view of the original shirt at Miller Park!  Yay Brew Crew!

how do you call this zipper technique, where you have kind of a box at the bottom where the zipper comes out? I'd love to learn it and am searching for a tutorial, but it is difficult without knowing what it's called... would appreciate any help on this!

To answer both questions at once - I did use a pattern.  Simplicity something...I can't remember the number.  The zipper was installed as the directions directed so I dont know what the technique is called but it was easy peasy.
