This is absolutely gorgeous and such a creative idea!  The dress looks really well constructed, and the embroidery is lovely.  I'm really interested in the reception to this.  Smiley

My first thought was how amazing your dress is! My second thought was that there is totally someone out there who would want to buy that from you and wear it to get married. Thus making it an installation piece?

Also if anyone is wondering, this is a modified McCall's M5850 pattern... I changed the back and the skirt, which is longer and pleated instead of gathered.

Since I don't really know how to make modifications to the patterns (other than lengthening) I pinned the fabric on my dress form and just winged it..
