really ugly fabric. gets a new life being useful.

So as a quilter there is very little fabric I cannot or will not use. When the MIL last came by she brought over a huge bag of Salvation Army store fabric finds. This was in it. I'm not sure if it is cotton.  I'm not sure if it is polyester.  I am sure it should not be.

So fast forward to this afternoon.  The sun is shining. The temperature is up. I'm doing laundry and getting to use my beloved clothesline for the first time since December. As I grab a handful of pins my pervious bag (which has been out side for 7 years and in very rough shape) disintegrated in my hand.

So I made a new one.  Out of this bizarre fabric.  Cause really. What other purpose could it possibly serve?



I am not sure what is worse. The pink/purple check or the red spotted rabbits...

Laser-eyed measle bunnies! It makes me wonder who got paid to design that pattern. You did a great job on it, though. And that was super nice of your mil to think of you while thrifting!

i kind of really love this. i mean... it'll make you smile every time you go out to hang your laundry. what more could you ask for?

that's kinda what i was thinking too. and everyone who comes for a visit on the deck will be sure to have at least one thing to talk about
 makes me glad i was only a wee thing in the 70's tho.  i'm not sure i could have handled the kind of drugs they must have been taking to come up with this pattern/colour combo.

Those bunnies are creepy. The red eyes make them look like mutated zombie rabbits or something. Why would anyone design such an ugly fabric?  But anyway, I'm glad that you found a use for it. I think I would have thrown it out so it wouldn't give me nightmares.
