So I'm getting anxious for the inchies alphabet swap and made a set of 10 inchies last night. I'm also trying to get up a collection of mini-art books to hang on my Christmas tree some that season and just to look at all year, too. So I thought, why not make a TEENY art book from inchies? Here's my first draft, I'll probably make another (OR MORE!) inchies book and put a little more time into it later on.

I glued the inchies back to back then punched 1/8" holes in 2 corners.

The "binding" is just larger jump rings from my jewelry making stash.

I hope you like it! Go forth and make tiny inchie books!

I can't tell what material you did the inchies on... Is it thin cardboard? the way you finished the sides makes it look like old leather Smiley

Each inchie base was punched from shoebox/crackerbox/cereal box etc (double thick b/c 2 are glued together), then the colored background is scrap from a kid's book. On the edges, first I smudged with colorbox "burnt sienna" chalk ink and then I used a black brush pen to turn the outer edge black! I like that you thought it looked like leather Smiley That makes me feel sophisticated  Cheesy

Toooo cute...I might steal your idea for colouring the edges black, it does give them so much more depth and makes them look really elegant. Sooooo excited for the swap!

Inchie earrings are a really awesome idea! Makes me wish I had my ears pierced. Unfortunately that never worked out for me, so I guess for me it would be necklaces.

Omg RR, I just watched this amazing video of an amazing papercraft project with teeny books inside of tiny books inside of small books inside of medium books etc.... It was amazing and I actually wanted to figure out a way to bind them in a way that they'd lay flatter w/o a jump ring, and I could fit them into something. Here's the link to that awesome vid, you'd love it:
