I love cute Japanese fabrics. I have quite a stash from when I lived in Japan for a couple of years but I'm still really stingy with using my precious fabrics. I found this cute pattern for a patchwork style bag and thought it would be a good way to use some of my stash.

Decorative stitching between each panel. This is a Kokka fabric. I love these cute frogs by Kokka and the smiley apples by Decolello!

I have this pattern!  I need to try making it, as I love the patch-y strip-y style of it.  Great job!

First off, awesome bag, you did a spectacular job. It looks very nice.

The strips that you've sewn together - are they straight from top to bottom or flared. It sort of looks like they have a bit of a flare, but I can't tell.
I'd like to make something similar, I have a huge stash of small scraps of vintage fabrics. I have a hard time using them because some are so small.

Thanks bunches for sharing

I made it using the Simplicity 0579 pattern. Each "panel" is a little flared with the bottom being slightly wider (2 5/8inch at the top and 3 and 3/8inch at bottom)
Happy sewing!
