I made this mini wall art quilt for gala apples who let me know today she had received.
Her wish was something to use as art based on this image below. I will also share the process.
inspiration
I used photo paint to get color mask of the solid colors. Then I deleted the color. Added a border to the mask to make a black outline and filled in black.
Repeat for each section.
Print the black outline image.
Trace on fusable paper to cut out parts. I forgot that I needed to reverse the image, so the text was useless.
Cut out web, place on fabrics and iron then trim
Then peel off other side and iron on backing.
I actually bordered the quilt before I ironed on the pieces and did a decorative stitch. There is an opening on the top border to insert a rod and hang up.

Then I used a zig zag to secure the pieces, though the fusable stuff said it wasn't needed.

Then I had messed the text up, so I printed a black laser copy of the text of the title in reverse, found the font online, a place that has all the movie fonts.
I took the print out and taped it to the cloth. I used rubber gloves, open windows, goof off, qtips and a spoon to burnish the text on to the image.
After it dried I ironed it to set. And sent it off.
