Smiley I am tryin to find a tutorial on making a baby blanket. The blanket consists of 2 pieces of fabric. The top piece  is 2" shorter all around. You sew the right side together which will leave a 2 in. border and the corners will be mitered when you sew the point at a angle then trim off dog earand turn through small opening at the botton or side which you will hand sew closed. I need to fing the correct  way so when I sew it will be the same on all 4 miter points. you turn the blanket inside out and the blanket is all finished in one turn then whip up place where you turned it out. I hope someone knows exactly what I and talking about. Roll Eyes

Try this

http://sewing.about.com/od/homedecprojects/ss/blanket.htm

shows the technique, I made some blankets with 1 1/2" edging , just adjusted the size of border/backing layer.

I didnt hand sew the gap left open, just pinned and topstitched with zigzag

Have a go, if you need help adjusting sizes send me PM

Cool Thank you very much that is just what I was looking for. Your blankets are beautiful. Have you ever made larger ones?  Smiley

I mainly do baby blankets up to about 36in - the fleece I buy is 60in, so that would probably be as larger as I would go without having to do any extra piecing Smiley
