Just to take a moment and say thank you for all the great responses and views.  Hopefully, I inspired you as you inspired me.  Just wanted to let you all know that I gave a presentation on this project last week and recorded it for posterity.  I posted it on my blog if anyone wants to here what I have to say about this project, etc.

How awesome Smiley  The journals look great and I hope they get wonderful use.  Writing can be intensely therapeutic and so can the simple act of creating something.  Kids and adults with emotional and psychological issues can benefit from having a place to record their thoughts, struggles, triumphs, whatever. 

I hope your efforts help; and the journals look absolutely fabulous Cheesy

Such a fantastic project in every sense, the books look fantastic and I bet your students took real pride in their work.
