Hello all!
So for the Spell-My-Name craft swap, I made Gamemom42's kitty Murphy a little crochet bowtie

It turned out kinda cute I think (as modeled here by my cat Domino). So, I figured I'd write up a little pattern for it incase anyone is interested. It's the first crochet pattern I have written out, and although I reviewed it a few times to even out the kinks, if anything is unclear please let me know and I'll do my best to fix it or explain better! The bowtie is made in 3 pieces, and I used two little round velcro bits to secure it around kitty's neck, but a button or clip or whatever else could easily be used. Also, if anyone is interested in using it as a collar as well (hehe I was, and am working on one for Domino to keep), a tiny D-ring slipped around Piece 3 could be used to attach tags.

For the length of the bowtie, it depends on your cat's neck circumference. I didn't include a certain number of rows, but for Domino, who's sort of medium sized, I made the long bits about 6 inches. After making it the desired length, just continue on with Row 1 of Bow as written.

Enjoy!

So handsome!

^--- like so.
Wrap Piece 3 around center of the bows and sew in to secure.

Ta-da!!!
After that, use whatever little clippy or velcro-y or snappy or button-y attachment bit you have on hand. And Voila! Kitty bowtie.

I hope you all like it, and I hope the pattern is clear enough

Thanks so much for looking! Take care! <3
