My first and second knits, the vegan fox from knitty and a vegan cat for my boyfriend's mom, modelled after her cat. What do you guys think?

that's lovely, did you make them out of a pattern or did you just make them up as you go along?

Oooooo, so cute!!  Where did you get the pattern?  I would love to make some of these!

I seem to remember that someone in my family had a fox stole, too, and it was both fascinating and gruesome.  One of those things that you just couldn't look away . . .

The fox is a pattern from knitty.

The cat is done the same way as the fox, but the ear flaps are only 2 1/2 inches with a little increase at the end/tips, and a 3 inch face with a knit 3 decrease after 3 inches. I don't remember what I did for the color, I just eyeballed that part.

I just learned to knit as well, two weeks ago.  I am thoroughly, irretrieveably hooked!  I made a small garter stitch purse, big enough to hold keys, a cell phone and a credit card.  My daughter thinks I made it for her... HA!

I LOVE the vegan fox!  Way too cute!
