Lovely packages everyone!

Just a quick note, I updated everyone's status today. Please double check that it is correct. I will start giving out feedback to those whose status and their partner's status is in green tomorrow. Smiley

Got home from dance class and not only had the darling boy made dinner but my package from New Zealand was on the table!!!!!! (Look on only if you promise to forgive my sweats)

The gadgets are a handy Bakers Helper, a perfect sized cake pan, and the cutest spatula I have ever seen and a set of coasters. There is also a bag Eskimos, not real ones lolly ones for the lolly cake recipe.  The cook book is a great calendar/day planner/cook book by a mother son team. I have it on good authority that they are a New Zealand institution. There is also a great calendar of New Zealand symbols.

The scrap book is great. Why? Because the sections are tabbed and laminated and there are pictures of the foods in process. The Rotoura Mud Cake recipe also says “there is no actual mud in this cake”. Carmen and I clearly have the same warped sense of humor Wink

Now for the crafted item. I thought I was pretty hot stuff repurposing a vintage dress into an apron for her, until I saw the apron she made me.
(maybe the least flattering pic I have ever taken)

It is hard to tell in the pictures but the fabric is a great sea shell print and the appliqué is of a Pikorua the traditional Maori pendant of friendship and growth depicting two shoots growing together, the joining of cultures. How do I know that? Because I have a calendar of Maori symbols. Did I mention the matching potholder?

This swap was so much fun and Carmen was such a great partner. I love everything.

I fall more in love with it every time is see it.
And isn't this a much better picture?

I received my package from Megnificent today! I love everything!  Pictures to follow soon. I have to wait until tomorrow to get batteries for my camera... everything in town closes at five.
