I borrowed the Craftster gospel, aka The Craftster Guide to Nifty, Thrifty, and Kitschy Crafts, from my library last week because I love to go idea shopping, even when Im broke. And my daughters birthday is tomorrow and even thought she requested ear piercing for her present, I have to give her something. So, like magic there it was in the book, a book clutch purse. I had everything I needed already, making it within my price range, and what tween girl ever has enough purses (or Hananah Montana items)!

Now the pictures:

Thanks for looking!

Oh how incredibly awesome! (though I'm crying for the book on the inside) I hope your daughter likes it very much when she gets it tomorrow!

Do you have a link to the tutorial you used? I'd love to take a look at it! Thanks!

Very nice job and even cooler that you had everything on hand!!!

I think if you search under purses, there is a tutorial here to make a book purse!

Nice gift that will get lots of compliments!

I made one of these once, and it was a lot of work. T.T
So congratulations for finishing it so quickly!
I like the book you chose, though the Hannah Montana fabric isnt quite what Id have chosen. ^^

By the way, since you said you had your tutorial out of a book, it might be difficult to post it. There is one on wikihow, however:

Thought this might be helpful for those who requested a tutorial. :-)
