So my cousin is obsessed, and I mean OBSESSED with Twilight.  I was angsting over what to get her for Yule when I saw this...

And I got inspired.  I decided to make a funky hip-bag with a Twilight panel.  It was SUCH a comedy of errors - the cross-stitch went wrong and had to be restarted, I kept sewing the bag panels backwards or inside-out, but I got it done in the end!

The bag all laid out.  I used an old pair of jeans for the fabric and a too-small red belt for the strap.

The front panel with the cross-stitch of Twilight on is also a little pocket.

I didn't want to add a closing flap to the bag and didn't have time to learn how to do zips, so the inside is a patchwork pouch that cinches shut with ribbon at the top.  Here it is closed.

And here it is open!

The happy recipient trying it on for size.  Yay!  I think she likes it!

I finally have a wist!

that is the most amazing thing ever! She looks so pleased Smiley I would be too. I wish I had the patience to cross stitch. I would love to try that pattern out.
