Totally just picked out a pattern and bought yarn!  Cheesy  I've started a small craft for inside the ball and have a ton of other ideas...........  I really like the themes.  It adds another dimension to crafting!

Now that I'm trying to focus and narrow down the possibilities for little things to put into the ball, I do have to say that having themes makes it more difficult. There are a number of things I thought "oh, that would be cute in a ball", but they didn't fit any of the themes (I'm glad we agreed it's ok to pick more than one). Especially with the things that aren't crafted .. I think I'll have to broaden my way of thinking somewhat or I'll end up spending waaaaaay to much money on theme-related goodies because I'm looking for something too specific.

BUT that's just from going through two tiny-town stores, when I go to the bigger town nearby I'm sure I'll discover lots of good stuff. A trip to my LYS yesterday was quite successful, too - I've picked a yarn for the pattern I've got in mind. I'm just waiting for the new colours she said she'd get soon to settle on something.

We've also agreed to do a little swap on the side - I've already picked the yarn for your socks, baa-me-chick! I really like how it knits up!

It's been too long since I participated in a swap - it's so much fun!

All of slingmomma's themes can nicely fit into one, and i like that. I like the theme thing because it really limits what you can put in there so it's not overwhelming. With no themes there were just too many possibilities! If you met me in person you would probably not expect this, but I thrive when rules and restraints are put on me! I think I did best in life when I was going to BYU-I and had all of their rules weighing down on me... Yay themes!

After much stalking....I finally came up with a good list of stuff for my partner!  It's hard to fit the themes!  We decided also to do multiple themes so it's a little easier.  Smiley

I found a pattern and am planning to go to Joann's shopping for supplies tomorrow --I have a 20 percent off the entire purchase coupon!  IF there is time and energy I will also hit up my LYS (I have an 18 mile run tomorrow a.m. so I am not sure I will have enough mojo to do both tomorrow!)

Rockon!
