I've been trying my hand at some steampunk pieces lately. Here's what I have finished so far:

First, I used an acrylic chandelier crystal for a base and added watch movements, gears and a leftover piece from a vintage spoon handle.

Second, I used a vintage spoon head as a base, flattened it out with a hammer, hand-stamped it and added a watch movement and gears.

Whadya think? C and C always welcome!

Thanks! I have a huge collection of silverware parts and just acquired some old watch parts, so I thought I'd combine them.

They're both great I just can't decide which one's my favourite! I love the idea of a spoon as jewelry!

Wow!! That is so great!

How do you work with such tiny gears? I'd be dropping them all over the carpet for the cat to eat lol

I try to keep it in a tray over a table and I use a tiny needle nosed pliers to handle the gears and set them in place. But...I still drop some and have to search the carpet to find them!  Roll Eyes
