I found a wallet picture on the internet that I fell in love with the design of. I searched and searched for a pattern similar and couldn't find one. So I figured I could try winging it. This is the third try, I still have some dimensional tweaking to do - but it's coming out great and I'm loving my new wallet. I'm really excited to make another one with my tweaks in place.

The outside is crypton suede and the inside is some cotton I'd purchased for my son's wallet (hahaha isn't it adorable!?!).

That's totally cool!  I'm not sure I got a feel for all the various compartments, but it looks great!  Too complicated for my mind to try to figure out, but really cool!  Love that "Badanna" print, too.  I've made several things out of it for my dh.

hahaha it looks complicated - but it's actually just a tube of four pieces of fabric (a bottom, a bottom pocket lining, an upper pocket lining and a top). On one end of the tube is a zipper and the other end is a snap flap, then it's sewn through the middle when it's being attached to the inside of the wallet.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I'm loving this wallet and will be happy to get the dimensional tweaks worked out. I haven't had a chance to work on the vinyl version of this in the last few evenings - I'm thinking I'll get some time tonight!

Great job with your creation and use of zippers & pockets in a wallet.  And the fabric both inside & out is awesome!  Smiley

I like your big teeth zipper, and the coin pocket.  This turned out very nice.  Great job!
