The practice skein.
100% merino wool. 1.1 oz, 19-2/3 yd.

I bought the roving for this one predyed.
100% merino wool. 4.2oz, 77-2/3yd.

This one I dyed myself! I love the slightly varying greens. It's super soft, I keep petting it, haha! Cheesy
100% superwash merino wool. 1.9oz, 33-2/3yd.

Cool, I like the middle one a lot Cheesy How is it spinning superwash? I've only done BFL and some mystery wools.

Hey Fiber People: I am very interested in personal swaps for painted/dyed roving or top. I can swap supplies or crafted items. Let's talk!

It was a lot easier for me to draft the superwash skein, but I'm not sure if that's because it's superwash or because it's my latest skein.  Huh

Beautiful firsts, Shannin! They look so soft - I can see why you've been petting them (totally normal reaction  Wink)! The color of the green yarn that you dyed is fabulous - it looks like emeralds.

Oh I love the green skein! All of the skeins look awesome! Are you using a drop spindle? I just got mine in this weekend. I'm still waiting on my roving...I can't wait to get started.

The dye color I used is called emerald green, haha.
I used a top whorl drop spindle. Smiley I wish I had a wheel! Not in my budget, though.

Beautiful first yarns!!!

I like spinning superwash for socks, although my all time favorite fiber to spin is Corridale ... unless it's merino ... and some days shetland ... oh!  and CVM or Romnedale (yum)!  Then there are days that just call for BFL or Jacob ...

That's a cool wheel! My birthday is coming up soon... will be dropping hints. Hehe.  Grin
I just looked online for videos on how to spin... I think I would understand more if I took lessons in person though.
