I just got back from a year abroad and half my friends are pregnant (the half that didn't give birth while I was gone apparently =P )

I went with a pretty basic pattern ... and used mostly fabrics from my stash.  Which was a challenge... I have tons of pinks & florals... but everyone keeps having boys!!!  So I had to buy a couple yards for the backing though  because I just didn't have enough blues.

Very traditional, but the nursery is dark blue & light blue with red trim... so it works.

I went with simple diagonals for the quilting.  Easy-peasy.

And here's the back... sometimes quilt backs are as much fun as the tops.

Next up - a quilt for me!!

This is great! And it will work as the baby gets older. It also looks kinda patriotic huh? I like it.

Yeah, it is.  A lot of the fabrics were left over from my flag quilt a few years back... so some of the blues have white stars and the reds have bandanna patterns.

I love this quilt, the simplicity and the brightness.  Any baby will love it.  And the way you did the back, I almost like it better than the front.  Almost!  Wink
