I read somewhere about making heels more durable, and especially protecting them from getting chipped. They said to paint the heel with clear nailpolish, so that when you step into a hole or sth. the varnish will come off and not your pretty design. But maybe you already thought of something like that. Very nice idea and beautiful design!

Woah, trompe l'oeil!  I definitely thought that you had glued lace on to the sides.  It's a beautiful addition to the shoe--and such a dimensional drawing!

Absolutely gorgeous!!!  It looks like real lace!!
Will be interesting to see how it holds up - I would be so scared of stepping in a puddle and smudging them!  Have you used any sort of sealer on them or are the pens permanent??
