DD wanted a shirt to wear to a St Patty's Day parade today so I made this last night. Took minutes to make! (she specifically wanted 4 leaf clover not 3 leaf Shamrock) The bleached part is light green, it looks great.

ok I NEED  to know how you did this! My friend Patrick was born on the 21st, but he was supposed to be born onthe 17th and that is when we celebrate his b-day every year. I want to make him one to wear as we bar hop downtown. Please to me how you did this.

Thanks! and actually no, I just used the same solution and dipped a pencil in it and started to print. I did go over a few letters a few times but they turned out great. The thing that took the longest to dry was the dot of the "i". don't waste your money on a bleach pen, just use a pencil. Cheesy

So, question: how did you apply the bleach?  I am totally digging the outline and the random lines, spots, etc.  Did you use a brush or bottle?  I have only used a bleach pen and it is thick, so I don't think the lines would look as fluid.

Great job on the shirt!

if you are worried about fumes, do it outside like i did. just make sure you have something inbetween the front and back of the shirt so the bleach won't soke through and then you can do both sides  Cheesy

I've tried bleach with freezer paper, but it seems to seep through the paper when I apply the bleach. got any hints?

hmmm. did you saturate it with bleach? was the freezer paper ironed on well? did you let it sit for a long time with the bleach on it? I used a good amount of liquid and the freezer paper blocked it but as soon as i was done adding bleach i rinsed it under a faucet, then peeled off the freezer paper, then threw it into the washing machine.  I've only done this 2x and both times I had similar successful results.

to be honest, i didn't even use freezer paper, i couldn't find any. I just printed off the image from the computer and cut out the computer paper. then again, my design was not all that complicated, if i was going to make a more detailed one I'd probably use the freezer paper.

Cool, it makes the shamrock look like it's got a light source behind it. Like it's glowing!
