I got in super late last night, but there was a package from Sugaree waiting for me, so I ripped it open, ooh'd and aaah'd and then had to go to bed. =/

Now I have pictures to share though!

Simpsons and Futurama envelopes made from an old calendar. =D

The coolest pins ever, made from old pins that belonged to her Mom. These are my favorite!

A bookmark, from cassette tape ribbon. (Oooh, an old american artifact. hehe)

Awesome dishrags Sugaree knitted for my new house's bathroom. =D

I believe this is meant to be a pin cushion, I forgot now. It's a cute cupcake.

Thank you Sugaree! I love it!

Then, she made me a set of cloth napkins that I wanted made from an old shirt:
I can never get edges like that! Any secrets?  Wink
it's called a serger.... although your sewing machine may have a similar stitch on it.  I was given my serger for Christmas two years ago and wonder how I got along without it for so many years.

Here is a picture of the card and what I believe to be little soaps that were also sent. Any story on those?
I had picked up a bag of yarn/knitting needles at a sale a while back and just got around to looking in it.  It was so tangled that I just dumped the bag out on the floor and after detangling and winding up all the yarn, I found the little soaps on the floor.  Since I couldn't use them, I thought it would be a cute little extra to drop in the package.
Detail on the stitching:
I freehand sketched the shamrock on the paper, then stitched it with yarn, cut around the shape and glued it to the card with glitter glue.  Just a little something I have been playing with.  Hopefully, I'll become experienced enough to make some nice enough to sell.

Thank you so much for everything!! Trust me, I was not in the least disappointed!
THANK YOU!!!

Glad you liked everything.  I really had swap anxiety over this swap.

btw - your package arrived yesterday and I really like it.  Will post pics this weekend.

After a daunting "missent" message from the local post, I received my fantastic package from Pinokeeo today! I have been really curious to see what she came up with since she is talented in creating "hard" crafts and I've never received anything like that before. Her package blew me away. Her "medium" was one of her famous wooden plaques. She stalked me really well because I super dig squid.

Here it is with some of the other wonderful wooden goodies she included. The scrabble desk plaque says "I love science" because...well I do. The little heart is made from a Nestle container lid. Ultra recycled. The little buttons are STRAIGHT from my wist. They are cutoffs from her very own Birch tree! I love these more than I should

She also included a wall clock made from a chinese checker game that lost its pieces. This happens to divide the hours up quite nicely actually.

She included more scrabbly goodness in the form of a journal made from a recycled game board. This looks way professional. I have no idea how you did it but it rocks. She also knit up some coasters from rug scraps and they are contained in a box rescued from the trash. Who would throw that thing out? The necklace is a pendant made from a domino with a picture of pebbles on the beach. Really cute.

And as if that wasn't enough. The  boxes my items came in were even handmade. The large on is a velveeta box covered in wrapping paper and the small one is made from recycled calendar pages!

I love it all Phyllis, you did a bang up job.  Grin

I'm glad you like you swap package, Beth.  I had loads of fun making things.  That squid was too much fun.  I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to make one.

BTW, you are soooo easy to stalk. Cheesy
