I made donuts for the first time in... well a very long time.  I used this recipe.

A couple revisions.  Roll the dough out thicker than suggested and make the glaze thicker as well.

http://thepioneerwoman.com  is my absolute fav foody site and frequent it daily...I've tried many many of her recipes with wonderful successes and they're always so tasty and easy.

But these look yummy!
At least you HAVE a doughnut shop.  I live in Montana, and there are NO doughnut shops in my city.  The grocery store is the only place to find 'em, and it's very sad.

Yummy we use to make them when I was A kid . My favorite was putting A Hershey kiss in the middle of some dough .. eating them while the chocolate was still melted ... And hear I sit with my almond milk and mutigrain cheerios.. I Want Donuts !!

I WISH I could go back to the grocery store donuts!  Back in Texas the big grocery store chain (H-E-B) had the best donuts EVER!  They were so light and fluffy and fresh!  Soooooooooooo gonna stock up when I visit this summer!
