ignore the cheese wedges...those will soon be history (YUM!).

The containers are some sort of cardboard with a paper coating...

I say modge podge some cute scrapbook paper over them and use them for some kind of storage. You're a craftster so you must have beads or safetypins or ribbon or something you can store in there.

I would be interested in knowing too.  I have a biggish box that is similar that I got from a brie baker this week too.  I thought about decorating it, but the top and bottom are a very tight fit.

I just tossed one today because the label isn't perfectly flush with the paper of the container, so it would look sloppy if I used paper to cover it. And the label is totally integrated; tearing it off would likely tear the rest. If you have sturdy cardstock you could use this container as a base, but it seemed to be a bit too much trouble to reuse.

Evil Mad Scientists Laboratories made one into a fridge magnet if that sounds like something you'd like to do. http://www.evilmadscientist.com/article.php/fridgemagnets

I like the magnet! maybe I could put some of the magnetic poetry in one...

I'll keep thinking on this. I want to make them more than just a round container that cheese came in Smiley

Maybe instead of decoupage, paint and varnish?  I wonder about beading a design on the outside and flocking the inside to make a jewelry container, or something like that.  They are the perfect size for decorating as a gift box for something small like a piece of jewelry.
