No wonder you got no sleep! These are fab, especially the seedling tags. Just hope the slugs don't get confused and eat them instead of your veg! ( hey that could be another use- a decoy for slugs. You'll make your fortune!)

If you were to sew those buttons onto a garment, could they go in the washing machine?

Yes, the buttons are washable (in the machine, of course:). I think I've even put them in the dryer on low! I've made many Fimo buttons before and all of them are doing fine for now . I'll post some teddy bear buttons I made for my girls's bedsheets. They have been washed for a number of times now (I haven't taken the pics yet so you'll see them after all the washings). I have varnished this buttons (but not the teddyes though) for added  protection.

It can a bit tricky with the fine detail (ears of the little teddyes for example) but the "massive" buttons without any protruding parts are fine.

This is utter cool! Since I know next to nothing about claying and Poly-something it is well impressive.
As an avid gardener of vegetables this would be the coolest way possible to mark the spot.

smallhold, if you're not the best friend with clay you can make markers for your veggies out of foil for example. I plan to do bigger stuff for the garden with it - it's in the process of making - I'll share when it's done, just remind me in case I forget. Though I do like clay a lot lot lot and it's sure worth to try it - if I can do it - so can you .

I varnished them with glossy Fimo varnish.
