Thanks! First one ever. I saw something in the book Pretty Little Things about using part of a wine glass as a skirt for an art doll and then I saw a doll in 500 Handmade Dolls that had a circle for a face.  In the process of figuring out what to use as the body of my doll I figured the two would work. There were some interesting wire wrap limbs in 500 Dolls too, not like mine but the idea was there. When I had gotten everything soldered together the torso seemed too hollow so I cast about in my (enormous) stash for an Alice related thing that I hadn't used yet and the key hole fit the bill! All in all I really like that piece. It's not perfect, there was some sweating due to the heat of the soldering iron but the resulting colour bleed and haziness of the skirt ended up fitting with the overall feel so I was ok with it. (and I only burned myself 2 or 11 times!)
To me Alice and Wonderland are not so much about the cute, sweet perception of it all, for me it's very much about the dark, the mysterious, the unexpected, the experimental and the slightly disturbing. Unfortunately I'm not very good at creating that sort of thing, yet! But I try and try...and end up with a lot of cute things anyhow Tongue. But hey, that makes for pretty good swap parcels, right? I console myself with the thought that my partner doesn't mind "cute" even though she likes that other stuff most of all too.

I can't wait to see the rest of this gallery already! Come on post office, Come On!

What's inside the box (bath salts? I'm not sure. They have an intensely strong scent though):

That.Is. Awesome! And that cake box, well, it takes the cake! Ha ha! How did you do that? It looks positively edible, and the food magnets do to. Could you have those on your fridge and not be constantly craving sweets? Oh man... Cheesy

That's absolutely genius! Great job with the cakes and foods. They look real and I want to go make cupcakes now. Stupid homework is keeping me from crafting and baking Sad

i meant to make the queen's tarts red but i decided to take creative liberty and change them up a bit. the little use me box, which is ok to put near water btw, is supposed to be the queen's sugar scrubs(because a queen must always be beautiful)
