I'm imagining Hogwarts in the future. Ron & Hermione's grandaughter, Peony, is Headmistress, and Harry's grandson, James III, has only recently been released from Azkaban (for what we don't know).

All we know is that there has been a love affair between Peony & James III, and while once she risen to the top of her profession, he has fallen from the grace of his legacy (presumably because he couldn't handle the pressures of the Potter name). Peony has found this trunk in a Hogwarts attic, and she hopes it will bring James back to his senses and prompt him to realize his birthright as the progeny of a great Wizarding family.

Peony writes...
My dearest James,

I write to you today in a personal capacity and hope this letter find you in good spirits and in better health. I was sorry to hear of your recent incarceration at Azkaban. Whilst cleaning the various attic rooms here at Hogwarts, a large locker was found that I believe belongs to you. A cursory look proved it to be your grandfather Harry's, and I feel he would have wanted you to have it so that you may fully understand your heritage and the privilege of greatness that has been placed on your shoulders. On a further personal note, I feel remiss in having let our friendship fade. I would love to see you again. If you are amenable, send a post by owl to the school. You need only to address it to me personally to bypass the school's secretary.

one scuffed & scratched trunk, one Sorting Hat (for years Hogwarts has entrusted this hat to the Potter family..sent in hopes James would care on this honor), one picture of Ginny, one Philosopher's Stone (a companion to Nicolas Flamel's), one snitch, one Ollivander's wand box (Harry's wand was buried with him), one prophecy, one phoenix feather, one basilisk fang, one pensieve (with remnants of a memory intact), one Nimbus 2000, one urn of floo powder, 3 potions (amortenia, felix felicis, & draught of death) Quidditch Through the Ages book, Advanced Potion Making book, one memory of Harry Potter (July 2010...I wonder), a feather from Hedwig, coins from Peony for a train ticket
