My mom asked me to make a ladybug blanket for her friend.  She bought me the yarn (I love it when that happens!) and I based the blanket kinda-sorta off of this pattern.

I love his face!

Here it is draped over our loveseat for an idea of scale:

I started working on this in September of last year, dropped it (and most other things I was working on at the time) for Christmas crafting, and then picked it back up again the end of January.  As with most things I make, I thought this turned out ok, but I have long list of things I'd do differently were I to make it again.

Anyhow, Mom liked it, but I'm not sure if she has given it to her friend yet (the friend's birthday is in March... that's all I know).

Thanks for the comments!

My nieces really liked this blanket, too, when they saw it.  I put my foot down, though.  I'm not making this again for a good long while! (Sooooooo many circles!)

It is great! I would love it too, and I'm surely not a kid  Grin. But I understand, you don't want to do it again - it must have been some very long rounds.
