I absolutely adore this shrine.
My hubby says it even looks like me - first thing in the morning when I decide to knit before showering - he says my hair looks just like that!!!!

Wow- I love the knitting calvera shrine and the Frida sock monkey. I definitely think someone needs to make a set with a Diego!! And you're all making me want a kitchen so that I can do a DotD theme!

I wonder how you could make a sock monkey with a double chin so I could make a set of Frida and Diego (her husband) monkies for my classroom.  Hmmm...must think on this!

I concur...Frida Monkey is AWESOME!

lol, I had actually made another monkey to pair with Frida out of a child's size black sock.  I was going for this look:

but the monkey turned out much bigger than i thought and the arms too short, so it looked stupid on her shoulders, it looked more like a baby gorilla was choking her, than like a small pet monkey.  haha.... so I gave her an outfit and gave her to my friend for her birthday.  A diego monkey would be soooo cool, I didn't think of that! 

I'm loving the knitting shrine too, and I never thought of using the loterias for little notecards, very cute.  This swap is turning out phenomenal.

I have had the best day of mail today..I got a new airbrush set-up plus a book from amazon on how to airbrush, my new glasses so i can see what I am doing and the best of all my package from Holistic Knitter.

She sent a great virgin picture, a gorgeous little sacred heart box, a fabulous bracelet, necklace, some chillie chocolate a mexican CD, skull fridge magnet,

an action shot of the jewellery will have to wait until my daughter is home. I took one of myself but it was scary enough to worry small children, so I thought I would spare your delicate sensibilities.
