The calaveras are just wonderful!  wow oh wow

Also love the lantern and the reversible apron!  The flower pins are so festive...are those little skulls as centers?

I love this swap...I think I need to watch out for the next one!

So I wanted to show you all the things I made for this swap. I worked really hard on everything and Im kind of sad that my partner didnt send me anything. I am greatful however that I have a swap angel who is going to make me some things. It still doesnt change how I feel, Im not sure when I will attempt a swap again, this was my first and it didnt go so well.
I went overboard and made a lot of things for my partner becase I was so excited. I do hope that she liked them. Here is what I made...(I dont have a picture of the apron I made!)

these are the small items that I made for the swap. I made several rose hair clips, a daisy hair clip and a bow hair clip (I had these already made before this swap. I am currently bald because of cancer and have always had a thing for hair clips. I also threw them in because she said she has a 2 year old daughter and I thought they would be cute)
I found the our lady of guadulupe candle holder at the dollor store and threw it in, and the rosary I made. I have been making them since I was in 8th grade and the nuns at my school taught me how. Rosarys are very catholic and the majority of mexico is catholic so I thought it went well.

my partner also had some things listed in her wist that I decided to make...pot holders and oven mits...

she also said she would like some art work for her wall so I embroidered this sugar skull, cut a matt out for it, put the words "welcome to my kitchen" in spanish on it and painted a frame red. (she said her favorite colors were red and black)

I hope you all like what I made Smiley

That package is awesome!!!!!  The picture may be my favorite, or maybe the oven mitts, or the potholders...  Cheesy

Not the best experience to be flaked on in your first swap.   Cry  But don't worry, pantsafari will be sending an amazing package for sure!   Wink

WOW!  I LOVE the embroidered piece!  It's a work of art, and I can tell you put so much time and care into it.  Amazing!  The potholders and mitt are awesome, too!

I'm sorry you got flaked on.... that really stinks, especially for a first swap.  I hope you'll give swapping another chance, when you're ready.  Smiley

What beautiful work!  I am glad you posted because I know there will be many of us who would love to swap with you now that we have seen your gorgeous stuff!!!!

Sorry you got flaked on, but remember that only the organizer knows all of the facts...maybe there was a good reason...but nonetheless, please don't let hurt feelings stop you from doing it again...like I said, most people who join a swap are just awesome!!! (like pantsafari!)

The embroidered piece is my favorite--it is so well done!!
